Workshops

Wagga Wagga Art Gallery Spring Holiday Workshops

Over the Spring school holidays I co-created and delivered workshops aimed at 6-12 and 13-17 year olds. Better known as The Big Draw, these sessions aimed to share art making techniques by setting up a still life, building observational drawing skills and using colour theory practically.

For the teenage groups basic sewing machine techniques were also taught as we translating drawings into a functional concertina book.

Create Hub Riverina x The Smith Family Australia

Create Hub Riverina and The Smith Family Australia work together to present week long art programs throughout the year known as Smart Arts. I’ve been involved in two rounds of this program where I assist the kids in their art making. I also ran a 2 hour accessible printmaking workshop where we explored foam block printing in one round and D.I.Y screen printing in the other.

As part of this program I also get the chance to speak on a panel as a practicing artists, chatting to the kids about creative careers in the regions.

Nest Studio Collective

Over the month of May 2022, Nest Studio Collective ran a series of free workshops for our community based on the theme of Self & Surrounds. Four workshops were delivered in total including Writing, Photo-collage, Mixed Media and Printmaking.

These workshops were run in a POP-UP style where we set up our station at iconic Wagga locations and encouraged passerby’s to join in!

“I kept coming back because I found that, not only were the activities very fun, but the environment was welcoming.”
